Located on the banks of Detroit River, the Dieppe Gardens were named so after the members of the Canadian military who died after landing at Dieppe, France during World War II. The St. Charles Borromeo Parish is a religious complex comprising of three separate structures- a school building, a rectory and a church. Built in 1912, by Peter Dederichs, Van Leyen and Schilling, the buildings feature Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals, Prairie School, Romanesque and Arts and Craft elements. Originally built for Belgian Catholics, the congregation soon gathered Catholic immigrants of other nationalities too.

The St. Florian Roman Catholic Church has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984. This Roman Catholic Church was constructed for Polish immigrants that had moved to Michigan due to the employment opportunities the booming automobile sector presented in the early 1900s. Ralph Adams Cram of Cram and Ferguson designed the church building in Late Gothic Revival, Bungalow or Craftsman and Polish Cathedral architectural style, winning him many awards for the same.
