The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve stretches across a vast area of 46,000 acres (186.16 square kilometers). It is named after Timucua Indians tribe who had settlements here. It was incorporated in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The park's massive expanse covers over 6,000 years of human history, including a tour of the Kingsley Plantation as well as a peek into the natural flora and fauna of the region. Ideal for trekking, kayaking, fishing and camping, it is a perfect getaway which is also not far from civilization.

Housed in the Clara White Mission, this museum is dedicated to the philanthropic mother and daughter duo, Clara White and Dr. Eartha M. M. White. Take a walk back in history as you tour from one room to another, catching a glimpse of the life the two dynamic ladies lived. Some of the furniture here is a century old and very well preserved. The museum houses Eartha’s room, the guest room, the parlor, the dining room and the kitchen, where the meals for the mission were originally prepared.
