At the center of the green Statue Circle stands the imposing statue of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh with an astrological diagram in hand, created in tribute to Rajasthan's greatest visionary ruler and builder of the Pink City. Locals and tourists find this space perfect for relaxation and timeout. The Birla Institute of Scientific Research has earned a sparkling reputation for its immeasurable contribution towards technological progress in India. As an extension to spreading knowledge, the research institute in Jaipur also houses a planetarium that conducts as many as 6 astronomy shows on a daily basis. Most of these shows are in Hindi but if requested, English shows can be arranged as well. In comparison to the other Birla planetariums across the country, this one may not be as large but it certainly maintains the standard in terms of the state-of-the-art equipment it uses. If language isn't too much of a problem, one should definitely stop by for a look. Visit their website for show timings and schedules.
When one catches a glimpse of the striking edifice of the Birla Auditorium, it is hard to believe that it isn't a palace. Scenically set in middle of a garden, with a lively fountain in the center, this auditorium mirrors the customary decor of the renowned havelis of Jaipur. However from within, it is exactly opposite with its hi-tech equipment and state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities. A seating capacity of over a thousand and other conveniences such as an ample parking area, centralized air-conditioning and cafeteria within the confines, all add up to making this place a favorite with event organizers. Right from Rajasthani performing arts to business trade fairs, if it is a huge event, chances are it'd be hosted at the Birla Auditorium.

Located in the Poddar School compound, this museum is not much bigger than a regular drawing room, but still displays a decent collection of dolls from countries like Japan, Sweden, Korea, Germany and so on. Needless to say, the most popular ones are those depicting Indian culture and its diversity. An interesting facet of this museum is its dedication to a certain cause; it serves as a medium to raise money for the students of Poddar School who cannot afford tuition fees, and also supports a student's hostel that takes care of over 800 children. People who visit here are encouraged to donate as well, which they do in plenty.
An ingenious conception of the Department of Science and Technology of Rajasthan, the Science Park was built in 1998 to spread scientific knowledge and create environmental awareness among Jaipur's people. As you walk through the park you'll come across models explaining the various laws of science. Visitors here get acquainted with concepts like Newton's Law of Motion, gravity, conservation of energy and Kepler's law of celestial motion. The interactive displays, illusion-like effects, and three-dimensional mirror images at the 'Fun gallery' leave every visitor intrigued. Make sure you visit the mini-planetarium and the Information Technology gallery. Indeed, learning science was never this much fun! Please note this great attraction is closed on major holidays.
