"Secrets of an Ancient Palace"
Located in the vicinity of Banten Grand Mosque, this museum exhibits the precious remains of Surosuwan Palace, which was a majestic building during the glory-days of Banten. Items displayed include statues, weapons, household items, ceramics, water pipes and other archeological artifacts unearthed by an extensive excavation in the area. Look out for the 16th-century bronze cannon, Nyi Amuk: the other half of the legendary Si Jagur cannon stationed at Fatahillah Square, Jakarta. Nyi Amuk is believed by some to impart spiritual powers to those who hug it.
