"Changing Mill"
The mill which is toady located in Joure used to be a paper mill in the town of Westzaan. It was changed into a barley mill and later a rice and barley mill in 1819 while still in the same place. It was brought to the town of Joure in the year 1828. The mill mostly stopped functioning after 1938, after which it was used as stables. It was restored to functionality in the year 1971 and underwent further renovation in 2007. The mill is open to visitors on every Saturday morning.
