Pizza 51

Pizza 51 has kept the motif of the gas station it moved into with a huge sign out front, garage doors they open in the summer, and travel themed dishes like the Highway Special (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, black olives). The pizza does travel, too, with delivery and take-out available. The important thing is that it doesn’t taste like gas station pizza. One giant slice of this deliciously crunchy, thin-crusted, New York style pizza is enough to feed two people. -Robin Sontheimer
