The tastings are free—that's the crowd-puller at this winery, specializing in hand-crafted wines. Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonnays, Merlots, and Pinot Noirs rub shoulders with smaller, lesser-known varietals of equal taste. The crème-de-la-crème among the wines found here is the 2000 Gold - Late Harvest Botrytis Riesling, aptly called a "dessert in a bottle." A point to note is that Deerfield has won 32 gold, 48 silver and 2 bronze medals in 41 national and regional competitions. Wine worth its price, one would say!
