"Hill of Heritage"

Rathbeagh is a hill located by the Nore river in the county of Kilkenny. The area is quite rich in heritage and history. It is said to be the place where the son of Milesius, who was a Celtic leader, is buried. A ruined church which was built on the same spot as an earlier stronghouse can also be seen here. Remains of the castle can still be found here as well. There is also a well located near the church the water from which is said to have been used to treat eye diseases.
