Rabindra Sarobar Stadium built in 1961, serves as a football stadium in Kolkata. The stadium apart from being the home of Kolkata's Tollygunge Agragami club, is also used by the locals as a practice ground and to host other local tournaments. The stadium being one of the oldest has witnessed some important events and football matches. Some of the international football fixtures being, India vs Iran, being held in the 1970's and India vs Russia. It was also used as an event ground and hosted a reception for Yuri Gagarin, the first Russian astronaut to reach the outer space.
