Goethe Institute or Max Mueller Bhavan is a branch of the internationally renowned institute for German learning. The mission of the institution is to improve Indo-German relations, and create an awareness about German culture and traditions. It offers regular learning courses for one and all, right from beginners to professional levels. Goethe does not limit itself to teaching the language, but also hosts German festivals, music concerts and book reading sessions. Each classroom has a DVD, TV and Cassette Player as supplementary teaching aids. Apart from classroom teaching, the students are encouraged to interact in German and the teaching approach is practical. The on-site library has a comprehensive collection of books, CDs, DVDs and other literature that furthers knowledge about Germany and its culture.
