"Cultural landmark"

This is the signature building of the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association, a local organisation that represents Sabah's largest ethnic group. Each year this becomes the venue for the statewide Kaamatan festival celebration.

Traditional houses erected for display, a monument called Vatu Huguan Siou (stone of the great one) and numerous antique canons surround the building. A huge traditional gong greets visitors at the entrance.
