Balaton is a trip into the past, namely the 1980's. Not much seems to have changed since then. However, the management must be doing something right as the place is always packed. The secret of Balaton's popularity is definitely the hearty but tasty food that it offers. Many Poles love the Hungarian potato pancakes covered in goulash which Balaton happily serves.
