"Former Carpenters' Alley"
Stolarska street (carpenters' street) was named after its inhabitants-carpenters who for ages lived and worked here. The street runs along the compound of the early 13th century Dominican monastery, which stood here before even the street itself was created. Nowadays on Stolarska instead of carpenters you can meet diplomats, since there are three consulates (French, German and American) here.
