A UNESCO listed heritage site, Aizanoi is a former ruined Turkish settlement in the Phrygia region. The city was considered a cultural and political hub during the Roman era. It was for most of the years under the Pergamum and the Bithynia rule. Attractions here include the semi-circular seating remains of the Aizanoi theatre-stadium, remains of public baths, and the 2nd Century roman market among others.

Housed in a 13th century Vacideye Medresse; Kütahya Archaeology Museum was inaugurated in 1965. The building shows prominent Seljukid style architecture and is made of cut stone with a total of nine rooms. The museum has a diverse collection of artifacts ranging from Paleolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze, Phrygian, Hellinstic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljukid and Ottoman eras. One of the main attractions of the museum is the rare sample of Sarcophagus from the Amazon and the huge ceramic collection.

Kütahya Kalesi is a pentagon shaped castle in Kütahya, built by Byzantne emperors. The castle is divided into three parts, the inner fort, upper castle and lower castle. The castle was used as a prison during the Ottoman rule. The place depicts the rich culture of the area and the view from the castle is stunning.
