Hosomi Museum was established in the year 1998. It is located in the eastern part of the city, which is also called the cultural area of Kyoto. The museum has an array of art to showcase. To start with, you can marvel at almost 1000 Japanese art works that represent the bygone era. Buddhist, Shinto art, Heian, Momoyama ceremics and paintings such as Ito Jakuchu can all be found. Each year, the museum holds four to five exhibitions, and this wonderful art is displayed to the public.
