"A History Of Timekeeping"
Located in the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the International Museum of Horology is a popular tourist attraction with its rich and unique display on the history of time and timekeeping devices. Opened in 1902 by members of a watchmaking school, the museum is home to a number of rare and valuable clock pieces from the 14th Century to the present era along with masterpieces of Swiss watchmaking by famous names such as Abraham-Louis Breguet, Antide Janvier, Julien Le Roy, Strasser & Rhode, Sigmund Riefler and Georges Frederic Roskopf among many others. Housed in clear glass display cases, the exhibits are sure to enthrall the young and old alike. A watch conservation workshop, a library and a research firm on Horology are found here as well.
