"Hillside French Commune"

La Turbie is a hilly commune located in the province of Alpes-Maritimes in the country of France. The city dates back to ancient times when it was under Roman rule. At this time, the Roman Emperor, Augustus, had a statue built in his name to celebrate winning in battle against the Ligurian tribes. The statue, which is called the Trophy of Augustus, still survives to this date and draws in a lot of tourists to see this unique sculpture. Other sights worth seeing in the city includes a limestone outcrop which looks like the head of a dog.
