Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery is an eco-friendly distillery that produces premium quality vodka. The sugarcane comes from its onsite farm which blends with mineral water from the deep sea to create this popular brand. It is touted to be the only vodka that is made from organic sugarcane. The drink is gluten-free and as close to nature as possible. Tour the facility and relax in the martini garden where you can sip a few strong cocktails amidst strawberries, pineapple and local flora.
This dive company has been a part of the Maui diving community for more than ten years and, during that time, has consistently made customer satisfaction a priority. The goal is that every dive lives up to customers' expectations. To that end, divemasters are prepared to meet every reasonable request. More than 20 dive sites are available through Ed Robinson's, so customers do not have repeat experiences (unless they so choose, of course). Certification courses and private charters are also offered.
Owned and operated by cattle ranchers from the Azores, this ranch offers tours of the scenic, isolated West Maui Mountains. The tour guides lead small groups through taro fields and rain forests, straight down to the Pacific Ocean. A few different tour options are available. Two "Aloha Rides" depart daily; each lasts two hours. A longer ride is also offered, and you have the option of adding a full barbecue lunch if you pay a little more. A deluxe helicopter-horseback combination tour is offered in conjunction with Sunshine Helicopters. Call for more information.
Although it's one of the most popular destinations on Lana'i, this beach manages to retain its pristine appearance. It's a protected area, a designated marine preserve and a place of much natural beauty and underwater activity. Guests of nearby Four Seasons Resort, Lana'i at Manele Bay can enjoy beach walks or picnics. This is also one of the few beaches on the island that can be reached by a two-wheel drive vehicle. Trilogy Charters and other sailing charter companies lead excursions to the beach on a regular basis. The marine preserve is also a favorite scuba dive destination.
Take the turn off at Mile Marker 20 on Highway 450, and you'll find this popular family beach. It's safe for even the smallest snorkelers because of a barrier reef located just offshore. (As always, use discretion and caution when going in the ocean!) The water is often too still for any kind of body boarding, but the white sand beach is great for relaxing. In spite of its popularity, this beach is often empty of people. Molokai (especially the East End) simply doesn't have the population or the tourist traffic of the main islands, and anyone who manages to make it over is likely to have the beach all to him or herself.
This is part of Father Damien's legacy. It was built by the holy man in 1876, and is still perfectly maintained today. A statue of Father Damien is in front. For anyone interested in major cultural or historical points of interest, this is a must-see. While many guides and other publications state that this church is in Kaluapapa, it is actually on Molokai's South Shore at Kamalo Wharf. St. Philomena's, another famous church built by Father Damien, is in Kaluapapa.
