River Street Inn

You will find this quaint and perfect mountain getaway just two short blocks from stores and restaurants in Truckee. The historic building was constructed in 1885 by the Truckee sheriff. It was used as a boarding house for lumber and railroad workers during the summer months, and by ice cutters in the winter. For you old movie buffs, this inn housed Charlie Chaplin and his crew during the shooting of the movie Gold Rush in the early 1920s.
