Herbs and Rye

Herbs and Rye is a classic hidden gem in the glittering city of Las Vegas. The classic American bar with a creative twist is known for serving delicious artisanal cocktails and exquisite farm-to-table food. Apart from the refreshing drinks, it also offers small plates and decadent dishes made with fresh local ingredients. From pork chops and figs with gorgonzola and a demi-glaze, to the beef tartar with just the right amount of capers and dijon mustard, every dish is sure to surprise your taste buds. The cocktails are handcrafted with care by expert mixologists that pull tried-and-true recipes from both the Golden and Gothic Age to feature stellar choices like the Pimms Cup or a Negroni.

Lavo

Enter Lavo Italian Restaurant & Nightclub and you will be treated to grandeur. The extravagant decor of this place is almost regal in appearance. With celebrities making appearances every now and then, it's no wonder that this place has earned a reputation as one of the premium nightlife venues in Las Vegas. The delicious Italian dishes served at the restaurant satisfy your taste buds, while the well-stocked bar serves top-notch liquors and wines. If you have a big appetite, definitely try one of their pizzas, which are 2 feet (.6 meters) long!

Oyster Bar

The Oyster Bar, located within the Palace Station Hotel & Casino, is a popular place to get fresh seafood, mostly of the shell variety. Not too many tourists know about this place, because it's somewhat off the strip and Palace Station caters mostly to locals, but it won't stay a secret for long. After a long wait, diners crowd around the bar and watch chefs prepare the food right in front of them. Oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, crab and lobster are available, prepared in a wide variety of ways. Specialty dishes include the Bouillabaisse, Cioppino and their famous pan roast: you pick the type of seafood, which is then cooked in steam kettles with butter, brandy, cream, tomato, herbs, and spices and served with steamed white rice.

Aces & Ales

Aces & Ales is a must-visit in Las Vegas for beer lovers. Serving over 70 varieties of draft beer, and 150 bottled beers, Aces & Ales attracts casual and serious beer connoisseurs. Keri Kelli, of the rock band Alice Cooper is one of the owners, so you might luck out and spot a celebrity while you're here. There are plenty of TV screens around showing sports, and Monday night is karaoke night.

Firefly on Paradise

Trendy nightspots don't get any more delicious than Firefly, found just east of The Strip and constantly packed with the young and beautiful. Its hipness is beyond justified; the mojitos are as good as you'll find anywhere else in Vegas and the light, fun cuisine is highlighted by small dishes such as Ham and Cheese Croquetas, Crispy Duck Rolls and Albondigas. If you're too hungry for tapas, try the steak frites or paella, a hearty saffron rice dish loaded with fresh shellfish, and chorizo sausages.

Pop's Philly Cheesesteaks

Those swinging by Pop's Philly Cheesesteaks expecting to find a friendly old grandpa figure will be disappointed. However, the mouthwatering cheesesteaks will more than make up for any disappointment. Pop's is an acronym for Pride Of Philly steaks. The customers came up with the name after the establishment opened in 1993, and it stuck. Locals know that Pop's not only serves up amazing cheesesteak sandwiches, but also prides itself on customer service. Sandwiches are made to order with fresh ingredients and are customizable. If a customer wants something not on the menu, all they have to do is ask. If Pop's has the ingredients they will make it.
