Even though the shows are primarily aimed at a very young audience (from seven years old), the setting is nonetheless laid out as it is for the grown-ups. There is a bar, serving light fare, and the 88 red velvet chairs are certainly as grand as those found in more famous concert halls. Due to the high quality of their shows, sometimes you can spot a few forlorn adults, embarrassed not to have found a little nephew to accompany them.

In this small little theater of 150 seats, humor is definitely the main draw. Performances by the resident company alternate with shows by invited guests, both Swiss and foreign. The bar and room's quaint atmosphere make it a particularly charming place. Given the theater's great popularity, and the very good quality of the performances, it is strongly advised to book a place in advance.
Théâtre Sévelin 36 opened in 1995 and is entirely dedicated to contemporary dance. It is a creative workshop where the Philippe Saire company regularly presents shows. Other companies also perform in this venue. Various festivals take place here throughout the year when there are free performances.
