Quenby Hall

Quenby Hall has been called the most important early 17th century house in Leicestershire. It is one of the officially listed heritage buildings by English Heriatge. The adjoining park and garden is also listed in the heritage list. This Jacobean house is a raw beauty built by the Ashby family who owned the estate. This house is also the birthplace of the famous English cheese called Stilton, which was first prepared by the housekeeper before it became popular.
