"Gaudi's Modernist Building"
One of the few buildings designed by world famous architect Antoni Gaudi outside of Catalonia, the Casa de los Botines is one of Leon's most famous architectural landmarks. Though one of his earlier works, Gaudi's masterful use of sculptures, neo-Gothic characteristics, modern shaped windows and conical corners easily stand out along with his trademark ironwork. Originally commissioned by Simón Fernández and Mariano Andrés as a residential building, it is today a museum. A not to be missed attraction for any architecture connoisseur!
