Hippopotamus

Almost opposite the station, this large pub practically never empties! The customers are not really noisy but do seem to talk all the time; there are people chatting everywhere! If you would rather have a quieter time you can eat downstairs where there is just as much room. The service is quick and the food original and of good quality. Jalapenos, tartare of fresh tomatoes with tuna, or tomato carpaccio are starters and tender meats follow, such as fillet of Barbary duckling, fried calf's kidneys, or the surprising ostrich kebab!
