Stadium Lille Métropole

The biggest stadium in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, the stadium Nord Lille Metropole was originally set-up as an athletics field. Spacious and having a wonderful playing surface, this stadium has often been used for quite a number of soccer matches in France. Also on offer here is a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a therapy room and very comfortable seating for sports fans. Today, the stadium is used by Lille OSC temporarily till the Stade Borne de l'Espoir is rebuilt. Besides sports, the stadium has also been used for hosting an array of concerts and cultural events. Some noted performers here to set the stage on fire include the likes of Pink Floyd, Mano Negra and Johnny Halliday, to name a few. Call the Tourist Information Centre to know more on the stadium.
