The Collection

A county museum and gallery of Lincolnshire, The Collection features a union of the Usher Gallery and City and County Museum. The museum is located in a building close to the Usher Gallery. The museum displays artifacts from the Stone, Bronze and Iron ages as well as Roman, Saxon and Viking ages. The Usher Gallery has an impressive contemporary exhibition program showcasing the works of modern curators and artists. In 2006, The Collection was on a short list of four innovative museums being considered for the Gulbenkian Prize.
