Lindau Lighthouse dates back to 1853 and is a marvelous lighthouse located on Lake Constance. It has spectacular architecture and is open to public. The lighthouse provides breathtaking panorama of the surrounding region, and hence, is well known for photography. The clock embedded in its facade is one of the most remarkable features of the attraction. Located in close proximity to the lighthouse is the striking sculpture of a lion, popularly termed the 'Bavarian Lion'. Together, these two landmarks form a stunning backdrop for the Lindau harbor, considered one of the best harbor entrances on the lake.
Meersburg Castle is a wonderful castle that towers above the city. The castle was first built during the 7th century and is considered to be the oldest castle in Germany. A famous attraction among the tourist and the locals, this castle has been owned by several lords and kings of various centuries whose exhibits have been well preserved over the years. The visit to the castle is done in five parts where each part has several rooms that have been well categorized. Visitors can explore the architectural area of the castle, the big wheel of the mill, the Baroque staircase, memory room, kitchen, baking room, etc. The museum also conducts themed and guided tours for which prior reservation is required.
Located by Lake Constance at Staad, Market Hall Altenrhein, or locally known as Markthalle Altenrhein is one of the most marvelous architectural projects in Saint Gallen. Conceptualized by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the features of the buildings include gilded golden onion shaped towers, bright and vibrant colors, uneven floors and windows, shady walkways, colorful ceramic pillars and green roofs. Hundertwasser wanted to create a place free of monotony by eliminating uniformity, anonymity and sterility. In the premises you shall find a bistro that serves good snacks and meals, a gallery that features Hundertwasser's graphic works (posters, postcards, prints, calendars,etc.) and a store too.

Located within the market place, the Munster Unserer Lieben Frau is a beautiful church that dates back to the 9th Century. The current building however, was constructed in the 18th Century after the great fire that caused much destruction in the town was over. The building has Baroque designs by architect Johann Caspar Bagnato. The interiors of the church are dominated by colorful frescoes and stuccoes. You can see the Rococo artworks aplenty in the church.

Known as the oldest church in Lindau, Peterskirche mesmerizes with its ancient tower and Romanesque elements. In 1967, 15th-century frescoes by Hans Holben The Elder were found in the church, which dates from around 1000. They depict many important scenes such as Passion of the Christ, and his disciples Saint Peter and Saint Christopher.
Located in the lake town of Lindau and popularly referred to as the 14th-century thieves' tower, Diebsturm is a famous historical landmark. It is named so as it served as a prison and a watchtower since 1380. Adjacent to it is an ancient church, which is equally appealing.
