"12th Century Church of Neston"

St Mary's and St Helen's Church was originally built around 1170, however very little of the original church structure has survived the additions and renovations made over the years. The church is home to a variety of interesting artifacts including a 15th-century font that is reputed to have been used for the baptism of the infamous Lady Hamilton. There is also an impressive collection of stained glass windows, some of which are intricately detailed while others appear more artistic with a vivid use of color. However, the main point of interest is a display of some very rare strone cross fragments that have been dated back to Viking Age. The church is open daily to anyone who would like a quiet place to think or pray, as well as to visitors who would like to explore.
