Bluecap Memorial commemorates a popular foxhound from Cheshire who was renowned for defeating Hugo Meynell's hounds in the year 1763. Barrymore's 4th Earl's son, John Smith-Barry owned Bluecap and the Barry was also a member of Cheshire's first ever foxhounds' pack. Bluecap Memorial is built of sandstone and features a monolith erected on a podium. Its slab has a poem inscribed on it. Grade II listed Bluecap Memorial has been a local favorite. Tarporley Hunt Club commissioned a painting for the memorial and it can be found in Tarporley's Swan Hotel.
