This grand Victorian building of the Walker Art Gallery stands next to the World Museum Liverpool. Built in 1877 and extended in the 1930s, it features a superb collection of paintings, sculpture and fine arts from the 14th-20th Century. The gallery stages regular exhibitions, events, tours and family activities. The works on display include Rembrandt, Monet, Matisse and world famous collections by William Frederick Yeames and Rossetti. The spacious cafe offers light refreshments in relaxing surroundings. The gallery is a part of the National Museums in Liverpool.

Nestled amidst sprawling greens, the Sudley House is a unique property that exhibits it's former owner George Holt's private collection of fine art from the 18th and 19th centuries. The house provides a fascinating insight into the Victorian era and the art collection includes works by Gainsborough, Landseer, Corot and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Apart from the stellar artwork on display, visitors can also check out the Childhood Room featuring Victorian toys as well as exhibitions dedicated to the Holt family. Although standing in a quiet residential area, this grand house is in close proximity to the city center. The on-site cafe serves delicious home-made cakes.
