"Ancient Castle and 18th-Century Park"
The impressive and evocative ruins of Dinefwr Castle command the Tywi Valley east of Llandeilo. Access to the castle is through the 18th-century landscaped park surrounding Newton House. You can visit the ice house and follow a marsh boardwalk but access to the deer park and the white cattle pastures is restricted. Newton House's Victorian Gothic façade conceals its 1660 origin. You can admire its elegant interior and see an exhibition on Dinefwr in Welsh history.
