River Tywi

The beautiful gushing River Towy is one of two of the longest rivers in Wales. The picturesque 121 kilometer (75 miles) long river is an important draw for biodiversity which includes fish such as brown trout, Atlantic salmon, eels and pikes, and other wildlife such as otters and grey seals. Bird watchers will be delighted with the number of distinctive water and wetland birds found in the area such as sand martins, common sandpipers, little ringed plovers, dippers, kingfishers, kites and buzzards amongst others. a walk by the river makes for the perfect relaxed setting for a leisure stroll. Anglers too frequent the site on a regular basis.
