"Still Without Compare"

The Adelphi Theatre in London can seat 1,500 and is part of The Really Useful Theatres. It was opened in 1806 with the name The Sana Pareil (literally "without compare"). In 1819 the name was changed to Adelphi, in 1858 to New Adelphi, and in 1867 to Royal Adelphi. Popular productions such as Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, Cole Porter's Nymph Errant and the revival of Me and My Girl, which was the theaters longest running production, were held at the venue.
