Situated in East London, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was the main venue for the London 2012 Games. This former industrial area was the largest ever wetland planting and urban river in the UK. The southern part of the Park is home to the Aquatics Centre, Water Polo Arena and the Olympic Stadium, that are surrounded by beautiful gardens. The central area includes the Copper Box, the Basketball Arena, and the Velodrome and BMX Circuit (VeloPark). Riverbank Arena and Eton Manor are located here as well. This venue plays host to an array of festivals, cultural and sporting events throughout the year.
