"Church in Isleworth"

Islington's Dove brothers built the St. Francis of Assisi Church in 1933. Designed by renowned architect Ernest C. Shearman, the church shows a Gothic style of architecture. Made with Claygate stock bricks, the church has a huge Rood Cross which was added on the Easter Day of 1957. The cross is 4.572 meters(15 feet) high and has a figure of the Christ on it. The church is fully functional even today and conducts regular masses and ceremonies to keep the community closely-knit.
