Claiming to be one of the most profane structures of London, Crosby hall was home to Sir John Crosby. Its construction started in 1466 and was completed in 1475. The building over the years has been home to many foreign dignitaries like Sir Thomas More, statesmen, merchants, etc. The neo-Georgian structure suffered damages in a fire in 1672, and was later renovated in 1910 by Walter Godfrey.
