The Budokwai
"As Skilled as A Samurai"
The Budokwai, one of the oldest martial arts club in Europe, was established in 1918 by a Japanese immigrant Gunji Koizumi. This club was established with the aim of promoting Japanese martial art forms: kenjutsu and jujutsu. This club has expanded since then to include courses in judo, karate, aikido and Brazilian jujutsu. Those not interested in these oriental art forms can enroll themselves for the pilates class. Little ones can pick up defense skills at the Budokwai Toddlers. Check the website for class schedules.
