Australia War Memorial is a commemorative monument located near the Wellington Arch. It is a tribute to 102,000 Australians who lost their lives during World War I and World War II. Designed by Janet Laurence and architects from Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, the Australia Memorial is a semi-circular granite curved wall, consisting names of the 47 major battles involving the Australian forces. The memorial was unveiled in 2003.
