"The Sherlock Holmes Connection"

The historic Baker Street tube station was built by the Metropolitan Railway in 1863 and is built as a classic tribute to the fictional character of Sherlock Holmes. There is a large statue outside the station that commemorates the fictional detective's association with 221B Baker Street. The station is served by five different lines and lies at the junction of Baker Street and the Marylebone Road. It was opened in 1863 and has since then been connecting people to all the nearby attractions and providing ease of travel.
