This vintage roadside diner has been in Eagle Rock since 1949, and upon first glance, it looks as if nothing has changed. The decor remains retro with orange vinyl bar stools, faux wood paneling, even the salt shakers and napkin holders are old-fashioned. In the kitchen, the short order cooks sling breakfast all-day, hearty lunches and comfort food for dinner. A couple of highlights include the Chicken Fried Mushrooms served with creamed kale, a corn waffle then topped with tomato syrup or the succulent Blackened Catfish & Succotash. Whatever you choose at whatever time of day, the daily selection of fresh pies, cakes and homemade ice cream is a reason itself to visit.
