Located away from the city, Bryce Canyon Park is often visited by the people wishing to indulge in some fun outings with their family. One of the passive parks of the city, Creek Park is purpose built for relaxation. This 26-acre (10.52 hectares) park has a rolling landscape that is filled with lush trees and a grassy area. Their annual event, Stroll in the Park, encourages visitors to enjoy the tranquil settings of the park and relax amid lush greenery. There is also an amphitheater and picnic spots at this park.
Located on the flood control basin of the Hansen Dam, Hansen Dam Recreation Area is an extensive recreational park. It features two artificial lakes - one for fishing and the other for swimming. The fishing lake also allows paddling and rowing. Both of these water bodies are manned by life guards. Picnic spots, equestrian, hiking and walking trails, a skate park, playground and restrooms are added amenities of this place.
The result of Justin Rudd, a local resident and dog lover, and Rosie, his bulldog's efforts for a beach for canines, Rosie's Dog Beach was officially opened in 2010. Dedicated in honor of this bulldog who passed away soon, this beach is considered to be the only one-of-its-kind in the county. Only one pooch is allowed per adult and there are other rules to be followed as well. Let your pet play with the waves, run along the shore or just walk on the sand.
