Greek Theatre

Located in beautiful Griffith Park and given to the City of Los Angeles as a gift in 1896, the Greek Theater is an outdoor concert venue you must experience while staying in L.A. Though it can seat more than 6,000 patrons, you may never again enjoy such a truly intimate setting for listening to one of your favorite performers. Surrounded by trees, the space offers outstanding acoustics. Whether you prefer classical music, rock, easy listening or jazz, you'll love this place. Ticket prices vary widely and can often be somewhat expensive. Depending on the time of year, you'll probably want to bring along a sweater or jacket, since you'll be seated outdoors in a city that can get a bit chilly in the evenings. On show nights the box office remains open for 30 minutes before the show.

The Orpheum Theatre

After the Palace Theatre was converted for silent films, the Orpheum vaudeville circuit moved here for its remaining years. Like the Los Angeles Theatre, it emulates the opulence of a French palace, with a marble lobby, a gold gilt ceiling, and a rare organ. One of the landmarks in the region, the theatre continues to host multiple events, shows and concerts. Tickets can be booked online or at the box office, one hour prior to the show.

Staples Center

The Staples Center is home to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Kings and the Clippers. At many games, you can catch celebrity fans like Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio courtside. It also hosts concerts with the biggest names in the business featured regularly here. The arena boasts a $1.5 million Bose sound system and an eight-sided, high-resolution video scoreboard and public concourses with 1,200 television monitors. Avalon

Avalon Hollywood began its life as a theater in 1927, and ever since has undergone numerous name changes, and staged several theatrical events and musical concerts, such as: 'Caesar & Cleopatra', and 'The Vagabond King'. This venue is also home to the first ever American Music Awards, and has held concerts for Nirvana, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Beastie Boys. It is a club. venue, a host to special events, restaurant and more.

Starlight Bowl

Burbank’s answer to the Hollywood Bowl, this marvel is a much-loved and frequented concert venue near Stough Park. A wide variety of concerts, from classical to pop, are held in this stunning setting throughout the summer. This beautiful natural bowl offers ample seating, both on benches and in the grass, where guests may enjoy their favorite performers and amazing acoustics to the transporting views of sunsets gradually superceded by starry skies. Visitors are invited to pack a picnic, including drinks of their choosing with no express restrictions imposed, other than non-interference with other patrons’ enjoyment of the event. Colony Theatre

This small theater in Burbank features intimate productions of high quality. The group has received praise from local drama critics and produces plays in all genres-musicals, comedy, and drama—classical and contemporary. Ray Bradbury, the science fiction writer, has a special affection for this theater. The Colony has mounted four Bradbury productions through the years, including three world premieres: The Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451 and The World of Ray Bradbury.
