This is hands-down the best Greek place in the entire San Fernando Valley. The large menu offers many wonderful choices and, on weekend nights, live music is accompanied by the lively staff members dancing traditional jigs from their homelands. Just make sure you do not sit too near the band or the dance floor. The pita bread is shipped in from back East and it is incredible, and there is an extensive selection of imported Greek wines too.
This classic bar and grill was previously known as the Holly Street Bar & Grill. The room you first enter is beautiful, clean and very welcoming but it is recommended that you ask for the patio seating if it's available. Little Italian lights make you feel like you're on vacation. The kitchen serves up an appetizing array of food, from glazed pork chops to seared ahi tuna to delicious chickens and meats. The wine list is full of excellent choices, some of which are very fairly priced. This is a great, romantic date place.
This is an authentic British pub in San Pedro. While the upstairs balcony seats 48 people, downstairs there is a log fireplace and a Victorian style bar made of solid oak and brass fittings. The clientele is mostly cruise-goers & regulars. You will see plenty of British expatriates and local fishermen from San Pedro. The menu features options such as salads, The Henry VIII Roast prime Rib, the Anne Boleyn Prime Rib, fresh roast turkey, rack of lamb, Beef Wellington and fish & chips. They have a full bar and sell 13 popular European draught beers, including Guinness and Bass. In addition, they sell California wines by the glass or bottle.
The Gallery Bar in the Millennium Biltmore Hotel is notorious for its romantic atmosphere. Lovebirds cuddle in the cozy booths to the tune of the piano and singles flirt over drinks at the bar. The Biltmore plays up the romantic aspect of the bar as much as possible and the decor also adds to the allure of wood panels and low lights. There is a full bar with great martinis and a full wine list with bottles ranging from the inexpensive to the extravagant.
A lively dockside hangout, Naja's place is the perfect hangout spot where you can unwind with your buddies over a good chilled brew, watch sports on multiple flat-screens, and enjoy the live music. The house band is called the Land Sharks, a cover band that is a lot of fun to listen to. In keeping with the laid-back atmosphere of Redondo Beach, Naja's does not require shirts or shoes—this alone is what draws many people in every day. It is a little bit of a dive, but that is part of the charm. If you step outside on the patio and take in the sun while drinking a cold one, you will think you are on the coast of Mexico—in a dive bar, of course.
Echoplex is one of the best places in Los Angeles to enjoy some really good live music while sipping drinks. Over the years, many renowned bands and artists have performed at Echoplex. The venue has a bar, lounging area and ample space to sit with video screens to enjoy the concerts taking place. The interiors look more like a dance club than a live music venue. Call for other related information about the venue and artists.
