Congregation Adath Jeshurun
"Warm & Welcoming"
Congregation Adath Jeshurun is an egalitarian synagogue where everyone is welcomed warmly. It was founded as Beth Israel in 1851 and was also called later as the Polish Synagogue, primarily due to its large Polish concentration. It was renamed to its present name in 1894. Its current edifice was built in 1957. Its "Wow Wall" at the entrance with its with its various religious symbols in stained glass is quite riveting. The David and Jonathan Blue Family Sanctuary, and Yarmuth Family Chapel are the main areas used for religious ceremonies and teachings.
