Named after folklorist Théo Brandão whose art collection is housed within, this museum was established in 1975 and has since been offering riveting glimpses of regional culture to visitors. The museum is housed within an ornate building and features diverse exhibits that range from audiovisual materials donated by Brandão, to ceramic figurines and ethnic objects.
Located close to the beach of Pajuçara, the Teotonio Vilela Memorial is a spectacular monument. Dedicated to Brazil's politician and economist, this uniquely-shaped monument holds the bronze statue of Teotonio Vilela. There is also a chamber under the monument that displays Vilela's personal and political journey.
Established in 2013, the Centro Cultural Arte Pajuçara has been a lovely source of cultural entertainment to the denizens and tourists of Maceió. Home to three smaller venues that include a cinema, an art gallery and an auditorium, this cultural center famously hosts theatrical productions and other regional live performances. The gallery at the center also hosts art exhibitions.
