"Interesting Roman Ruins"

Ronda la Vieja are the remains of an important Roman town that belonged to the Celtic Beturia (an ancient Andalusian region). The most appealing attraction of this town is the remains of an old theater dating from around 60-50 BC, which seems to have been abandoned around the year 200 AD. The basic structure of this theater was shewn from the rocks, while the rest was built using ashlars extracted from a quarry located within the town limits. The town once had walls and other public buildings.
