Vila Olímpica

Opened in 1990, Vila Olímpica is counted as the most well-equipped sports facilities in Manaus. It has had an instrumental role to play in the development, initiation and dissemination of various sports in Amazon. Apart from the wide range of sports facilities that it provides, it also offers lodging services to about 220 athletes. It has an aquatic park with pools and tanks for swimmers, athletics' tracks, an auditorium, sports fields and courts. There are also rooms for indoor sports like martial arts, gymnastics, skating and so on. The services are exclusive with adequate locker rooms, medical services, sports equipments and so on. There is also a cafeteria that provides meals to athletes. Many sporting events and championships are known to take place here. Thus, this place can be counted as a separate world by itself.
