Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora da Conceição

With a history dating back to the late 17th Century, Catedral Metropolitana, also known as Igreja Matriz, is one of the oldest churches in the city. Over time, the church building has undergone numerous expansions and changes, including complete restructuring because of a fire in 1850. The current edifice is a regal structure, with Greek architectural influences and stunning interiors.
