Old Trafford

Old Trafford, nicknamed "Theater of Dreams," is a famous football (soccer) ground located in Greater Manchester. Opened in 1910, it is home to the celebrated Manchester United Football Club. It has been the setting for prestigious tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, Euro 96 and the 2003 UEFA Champions League Final. The venue was chosen to host nine football matches for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Apart from football, games like shinty, baseball and cricket have also been played here. Legendary artists like Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen have hosted their concerts at Old Trafford. The space is also rented out for private events and functions like weddings and Christmas parties. Tourists can be a part of the regular stadium tours arranged here.

Band on the Wall

Situated out beyond the Northern Quarter, this is a 240-capacity venue with a character and niche of its own. The interior is dark and atmospheric with burgundy-painted fittings and a fantastic little balcony offering an eagle-eye view of the stage. Its strength lies in the diversity of the live music it puts on. Samlesbury Hall

Samlesbury Hall is a majestic manor house, dating back to the 14th Century. Born out of the imagination of Gilbert de Southworth, this historic house welcomes visitors who wish to learn about its legacy and history. It also doubles up as an event space for concerts, exhibitions, functions, weddings, receptions and theatrical acts.

The Lowry

The Lowry Project includes the Lowry, the Plaza, the Digital World Centre, access routes and transport infrastructure, and is a tribute to Manchester's most famous artist, Lawrence Stephen Lowry (1887-1976). There is an art gallery containing over 300 of Lowry's paintings and art classes, and exhibitions are also available. The 1730-seat Lyric auditorium is the region's leading venue for international drama, opera, music and dance, while the Quays, seating 466, lends itself to comedy and drama performances.

Located in a building's basement of a back street in Northern Quarter, Twenty Twenty Two leaves an eerie first impression. But step in through the front door, and you ll soon find yourself in a quirky and a wonderful world.
