Top Rated Restaurants & Cafes in Manila

Dads

Come on for a variety of options like Stuffed Turkey with cranberry sauce, Roast Beef and Baby Back Ribs, Sushi and Sashimi, Norwegian Salmon in various preparations, or New Zealand Lamb with mint jelly. Dads even has a salad bar to delight a vegetarian's heart. This is all part of the buffet and is priced at a reasonable fare. Although it does get crowded, the place retains a certain degree of elegance. One word of advice: Come early to avoid the queue. Fully licensed bar.

Ziggurat Cuisine

This Place serves the very best in Indian, Mediterranean, African and Middle Eastern cuisine. The architecture of the building is resonant of the pyramid of ancient Mesopotamia - the ziggurat, which is another name for a temple and hence the name. Get a little adventurous and try the sheesha or hookah. The decor is enticing, with jeweled cushions and delicate drapes, hanging down from the ceiling, which create an air of enigma.

Cafe Havana

The atmosphere here is decadent Havana, just before the fall of the city to Castro. The food is allegedly Cuban/Caribbean, but that is almost incidental; most people come here just to party. There is a stylish cigar bar and lounge (aptly named after Hemingway) on the second floor; ask the management how you can become a member and be allowed to spend a neat sum for the prized Havana cigars in stock. Downstairs in this restored old house, the lively proceedings can sometimes spill out on the street in a spontaneous party.

Stars of Giorgio

Not to be confused with other 'Stars' restaurants, Stars of Giorgio serves Middle Eastern-Mediterranean cuisine in a modern-day interpretation of an exotic Arabic setting. The restaurant is best known for its lamb dishes such as the provocatively named house specialty - Shank of Venus. Ask for the vegetarian menu if you prefer something light and healthy. Some sweet fanciers swear by Giorgio's cheesecake. Patrons can discover their fortune by picking a 'serendipitous message' from a crystal bowl after dinner. A full selection of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Sala Restaurant

Situated in the Locsin Building is one of Manila's best-known fine dining restaurants. The cuisine is a mix of the best of continental European cuisine, with contemporary flourishes. The complimentary bruschetta is a burst of Mediterranean sunshine, and the steaks are juicy and flavorful. A good selection of mostly European (with some South American) wines is available. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with an inviting interior that exudes a sense of comfort and elegance. This restaurant is perfect for a dinner date or a special occasion.

Blackbird

If you are looking for an unconventional dining experience then dining inside an erstwhile air-traffic control tower (Nielson Tower) is something that you should definitely do. The Cabin Room offers panoramic views of the city and dining here is highly recommended. Dine alfresco at the terrace if you wish to enjoy a breath of fresh air. The Blackbird Restaurant is celebrated for its diverse menu, featuring a fusion of flavors that cater to a wide range of palates. Whether you're in the mood for a delectable steak, fresh seafood, or innovative vegetarian options, Blackbird has something to satisfy your cravings. With its welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere, the Blackbird Restaurant is an ideal destination for romantic dinners, special celebrations, or a memorable night out.
